I am the Security Manager for Horace Mann School and have been charged with the day to day security operations, which includes security cameras and door locking systems. I have been working at Horace Mann for the past four (4) years and one of my first assignments was to evaluate the school’s security systems.
I am a retired New York City Captain of Police and after retiring I served as Assistant Director of Security Operations at New York University and Director of Security at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. I have had firsthand experience with the security systems at both the University and the College and found that the systems in place at Horace Mann School were by far superior systems.
After becoming familiar with the school I met with David Rosen and John Burkett to form a working relationship. Both of these gentlemen displayed the utmost professional from our first meeting. We have been working together for four (4) years now and the relationship is solid. The team has installed well over forty (40) cameras and we are continually adding cameras and refining our door locking system. We are currently in the planning stage for installing an additional fourteen (14) to sixteen (16) cameras.
Besides our installation projects we have a service contract for our systems. When service/emergency and low priority is requested we receive high priority service. Typically when service is requested we have a technician respond to the campus on the same day as that the request is made. This type of service is invaluable to our school which has a student population exceeding 1700.
John Burkettt et al form a great team and as a result we feel that our systems are second to none. We will continue to add to our systems as needs arise and as changes are required.
It is very important to consider that Horace Mann School is a premiere institution and expectations are high and we have received service consistent with our expectations. In addition, being a high profile institution we are constantly solicited by competing vendors but we continue to conduct business with Triad Security Systems which is the best evidence to a job well done!

After a sealed bid process and interviewing several bidders, Triad Security Systems was selected in the spring to replace our antiquated system with a bar code vehicle access control system. We have been pleasantly surprised and pleased with Gary Fall and the Triad technicians. They made it possible for the community to experience a seamless change from our old system to the new by sharing their expertise, knowledge , proper training of our staff and installing the new system within our time frame demands. It was not an easy task considering the size of our community.
