Card Access Control
Card Access Systems have become a popular method of reducing long-term facility operating costs while significantly increasing premises security and internal controls. In the simplest of forms, a card access system consists of a credential (often a special Card or Key Fob) that is presented to a Reader, which is connected to an electronic Controller at a door. The controller releases or unlocks the door (if access is allowed) and user-friendly software manages the system.
With access systems, you have the ability to control, restrict, and monitor entry to hallways, elevators, stairwells, doors, and main entrances. General Security offers a variety of Card Access solutions to meet the specific needs of our customers. A thorough facility survey and discussion of your operations is the foundation of planning your card access solution. Our Engineers design card access systems that meet all fire, ADA, and other building codes, while our factory-trained technicians ensure that a professional installation takes place, including all hardware, software, initial programming, testing and training.
